The three-day week has begun! The queen is celebrating her “platinum jubilee” so we all get an extra day off, wahey! I now have to figure out what I’m going to do with that extra time.
Emma and I spontaneously went to a festival at the weekend. Primal Scream were playing the entirety of Screamadelica and Amyl and the Sniffers were also playing. What a show! Primal Scream were fantastic, bringing out both a gospel choir and a bag-pipest for their set but by this point I was pretty knackered so we left after Loaded.
Amyl and the Sniffers bought their A-game and most of the Australians casme to revel in all their bogan-glory. So yeah, a good time was had by all. Emma and I then spent most of Sunday in bed or on the sofa, which was also a good time.
So yeah, that was pretty much it. Oh yeah! On Friday, we went to see the Bob’s Burger’s movie which was, if you’re a fan of the show, a great time. Full of easter eggs and references from the show itself as well as a fun whodunnit plot in which we get to see all the Belcher family go through some character development. There’s songs, jokes, drama, romance, what’s not to love? I probably won’t see it again, but if someone wanted to see it with me, I’d go.
After finishing “Beyond Fate” by Marageat Visser, I’ve started another book about relativity. Man, relativity is hard. Everything changes when you go fast, even shapes and sizes of things. There’s a tonne of math involved and things stop working the way you imagine that they do. I think that’ll be the last book I read about relativity for a while, I’ve got the main concepts, the details I leave to the experts (or slowly get my head around them).
Alright, I think that’s all for today. Everything is slowly being packed into boxes to make moving easier so we’ll see how everything pans out.
