Is there anything more divine, than to rightly challenge a parking fine? The immediate injustice of such a request, £80 at the council’s behest?! A sudden bill, an emergency payment, breathing decay onto my bank statement But for once I am in the right, and the council will face my mighty might! This parking fine is for those unlike me, I have a parking permit see Specifically for situations thus, I’ll park where I like (In a certain radius) Safe in the knowledge that I have played by the council’s rules The challenge is made, the parking fine unpaid. And I sit and wait with glee A response arrives, “we are prepared in this instance to cancel the notice” And I notice in this instance that it was my turn to succeed. And then I think back and shudder, was this worth the bother? To phone and wait on hold for close to an eternity?
